In keeping with Fernley's rural lifestyle, there are homes on one to five acre lots that are zoned for horses.

And for you pilots, there are plans approved for taxiway home sites at Tiger Field, our local airport.

Since incorporating in July 2001, Fernley's City Council has adopted a community master plan. This master plan carefully facilitates the growing industrial parks with residential, educational and recreational facilities required to provide an economically stable community. The Fernley Builders Association works very closely with the City to ensure that home values and rural lifestyles are maintained. Additionally, Fernley presents excellent opportunities for the renter. Houses, townhomes, and apartments (many brand new) are available as well. Rents are comparably lower than the Reno market beginning at just $600 a month.
