Please join us for our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors networking breakfast event this Tuesday, October 12th at The Golf Club at Fernley. Doors open at 7:00AM. We encourage everyone to arrive early so you are checked-in and seated by 7:30AM. As always, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors" Networking Breakfast meetings...…even if you are not yet a member.

Opportunity Alliance Nevada
Nathan G. Strong is Executive Director at Opportunity Alliance Nevada (OANV) which operates the Nevada Financial Resiliency and Empowerment Project (NFREP). Born and raised in Redwood City, California, he attended middle school and high school in Douglas County, Nevada. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History, along with a Certification in Computer Programming from Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) in San Diego, he returned to Nevada, beginning graduate school at the University of Nevada, Reno studying Anthropology with a focus in Archaeology. Working in the archaeological lab and field as his schedule permitted, Nate paused in Fallon for 22 years, where he began work as a database programmer maintaining the hunt application systems for Nevada and Utah.
Eventually marrying he raised two wonderful sons, being fortunate enough to stay home with the youngest until he began school. At that time, Nate re-entered the workforce as a teacher in Churchill County School District, was Crew Chief for the 2010 Census in Storey County, then worked for the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe, beginning, and ending at the Tribal Court , In between holding a position where he worked to preserve, protect, promote, and manage their cultural resources. He began his life at the Churchill Economic Development Authority overseeing Special Projects, eventually becoming the organization's final Executive Director and serving as the inaugural President of the Nevada Economic Development Association. With his sons grown, the youngest enrolled at PLNU, Nate has returned to the Truckee Meadows, making his home in Sparks. Following a stint as a instructor at the Norther Nevada Literacy Council, Nate became the Executive Director of OANV in July 2021, engaging the statewide community promoting the programs and services offered through Nevada Financial Resiliency and Empowerment Project.
There will be Fernley Ambassadors to personally greet you at the front doors of The Golf Club at Fernley and guide you through the check-in process. The check-in table will feature 4 Fernley Ambassadors to assist you with the check-in process, including 50/50 raffle tickets, Bragging Bucks, etc.
Non-Chamber members are welcome to attend and learn about the many benefits available to you, your business or your organization as a Fernley Chamber of Commerce member.
If your are a business owner/operator, we strongly encourage you to bring a Door Prize for our raffle ticket giveaways at the end of the meeting. It will allow you and your business to maximize your exposure at the event.
