Fernley Ambassador's Breakfast - Guest Speaker Cody Wagner, Fernley Community Foundation

Please join us for our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors networking breakfast event this Tuesday, February 8th at The Golf Club at Fernley. Doors open at 7:00AM. We encourage everyone to arrive early so you are checked-in and seated by 7:30AM. As always, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors" Networking Breakfast meetings...…even if you are not yet a member.

Fernley Community Foundation

Cody Wagner, Chair of the Fernley Community Foundation, will be the guest speaker this week.  The Fernley Community Foundation was started in May 2017 with the general goal of getting the residents of Fernley more involved with some projects going on in our City, specifically the fundraising for and construction of a new Community Center.  The Foundation also contributes to the improvement of recreation, education, arts & culture, and social interaction for Fernley residents.

Cody was raised in Fernley, attending Fernley Elementary, Intermediate, and High Schools before graduating in 2003.  He was heavily involved in athletics (Iron Man award winner), Scouting (Eagle Scout for Troop 494), and education.  Cody attended the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating with his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering in 2008 and Master's Degree in 2012.  He returned to Fernley upon graduating with his wife, Valerie, who works as an Accountant for Peri and Sons Farms in Yerington.  Cody worked as an Engineer in the private sector in Fernley for nearly 6 years before stepping away in 2017 to take a shot at Entrepreneurship.  He currently owns The Tap Wagon, works for the Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties training Community Health Workers throughout the State,  and serves on the City of Fernley's Planning Commission and Board of Lyon County CASA in addition to Chairing the Fernley Community Foundation.  Valerie and Cody have two boys, one who will be 3 years old in April and the other who will be 3 months old this week.
