Fernley Ambassador's Breakfast with guest speaker Lyon County Shop with a Cop Program

Please join us for our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors networking breakfast event this Tuesday, November 28th at The Fernley Art Center. Doors open at 7:00AM. We encourage everyone to arrive early so you are checked-in and seated by 7:30AM. As always, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors" Networking Breakfast meetings...…even if you are not yet a member.

 Lyon County Shop with a Cop Program

November is here already!  This is the time of year that the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office begins preparing for Shop with a Sheriff!  Shop with a Sheriff goes back many years, and is a great program to further our mission of breaking down barriers between our youth and law enforcement.  The Shop with a Sheriff program gives the opportunity for underprivileged youth from our communities to shop for Christmas presents with first responders from the area.

The Walmart in Fernley has hosted the event since its inception and has become a great partner of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office raises funds for the Shop with a Sheriff program through generous donations from the community.  Local residents and businesses donations are returned to the youth of the community.  The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has an established charity account that funds all of the items given out at community events, Fourth of July Events, Halloween community events, Christmas events and Shop with a Sheriff.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has set the goal at providing 35 local children with the Shop with a Sheriff experience.  That means our fundraising goal is $10,500!  Any donations can be made at any Lyon County Sheriff’s Office substation, or arrangements can be made for pick up.

There will be Fernley Ambassadors to personally greet you at the front doors of The Fernley Art Center and guide you through the check-in process. The check-in table will feature 4 Fernley Ambassadors to assist you with the check-in process, including 50/50 raffle tickets, Bragging Bucks, etc.

Non-Chamber members are welcome to attend and learn about the many benefits available to you, your business or your organization as a Fernley Chamber of Commerce member.

If you are a business owner/operator, we strongly encourage you to bring a Door Prize for our raffle ticket giveaways at the end of the meeting. It will allow you and your business to maximize your exposure at the event.
