Fernley Ambassador's Breakfast with guest speaker Oscar Aguilar for Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows

Please join us for our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors networking breakfast event this Tuesday, June 6th at The Fernley Art Center. Doors open at 7:00AM. We encourage everyone to arrive early so you are checked-in and seated by 7:30AM. As always, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors" Networking Breakfast meetings...…even if you are not yet a member.

Oscar Aguilar, the Area Director for the Boys & Girls Club has some updates about the growth of the Clubs in Fernley, new programs for Youth, Teen, and Family Services for club members and where the Club, could use YOUR support.

Born in Carson City, Nevada and raised in Carson City, Reno, and Sparks areas. Graduated from Sparks High School in 2009 and graduated  from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors of Science in Business in 2014. Oscar is a Boys & Girls Club  Alumni and has been part of the Boys & Girls Club movement for over 16 years. Oscar is often found in the Teen Center connecting with our teens or in the community organizing events for our youths and families!  Currently, Oscar is  Area Director for Fernley and oversees all the clubs operations in the Fernley area. Oscar has been with the club for 8 years and prior to this position he was a Teen Center Coordinator for one of the biggest clubhouses in Reno. He has also held various other positions within the Boys & Girls Club including athletics & field trips. Prior to BGCTM, he was a Workforce Development Coordinator for the Housing Authority of the City of Reno. There he worked with youth ages 6 - 24 living in low income housing, helping them find and secure scholarships, connected them to resources for school, and helped with job training/interviews. During my time at the Reno Housing Authority, I also worked with seniors, veterans, and families finding resources, putting on community events, and outreach events. Over ten years of experience being a community organizer and serving the public!

There will be Fernley Ambassadors to personally greet you at the front doors of The Fernley Art Center and guide you through the check-in process. The check-in table will feature 4 Fernley Ambassadors to assist you with the check-in process, including 50/50 raffle tickets, Bragging Bucks, etc.

Non-Chamber members are welcome to attend and learn about the many benefits available to you, your business or your organization as a Fernley Chamber of Commerce member.

If you are a business owner/operator, we strongly encourage you to bring a Door Prize for our raffle ticket giveaways at the end of the meeting. It will allow you and your business to maximize your exposure at the event.
