Please join us for our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors networking breakfast event this Tuesday, September 19th at The Fernley Art Center. Doors open at 7:00AM. We encourage everyone to arrive early so you are checked-in and seated by 7:30AM. As always, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors" Networking Breakfast meetings...…even if you are not yet a member.

The Better Business Bureau® (BBB®) is a nonprofit, standards-based organization, with a mission to advance trust in the marketplace. BBB offers its national and local services online and in person, helping people nearly a quarter of a billion times each year. BBB helps consumers identify trustworthy businesses, and those that aren’t, through more than 5.3 million BBB Business Profiles. BBB’s Standards for Trust are eight principles that summarize important elements of creating and maintaining trust in business. BBB also sets standards for and evaluates the practices of thousands of charities so that donors know where their money is going. And BBB’s Scam Tracker helps people avoid losing money to scams.

Scams undermine and erode trust in the marketplace. Knowing about specific types of scams and understanding the general tactics that scammers use can help people avoid losing money. Come learn from BBB what scams are impacting people most and leave with 10 tips you can use to avoid most scams.

About the speaker

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has empowered people to find businesses, brands and charities they can trust for more than 110 years. Timothy Johnston has worked with the nonprofit, standards-based organization for more than 20 years as a Vice President of Operations, President and CEO, and currently as Vice President of Outreach for Better Business Bureau Serving Northern Nevada and Utah. In his role, Timothy serves as the face of BBB and key liaison to communities across northern Nevada. He provides valuable resources to the community through education presentations, strategic partnerships, and local initiatives. He lives in Sparks with his wife and three children.

There will be Fernley Ambassadors to personally greet you at the front doors of The Fernley Art Center and guide you through the check-in process. The check-in table will feature 4 Fernley Ambassadors to assist you with the check-in process, including 50/50 raffle tickets, Bragging Bucks, etc.
