Daniel K. Watson

Financial Services Professional Agent, New York Life Insurance Company

I am a Financial Services Professional and I am an expert in the sale of Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance and the Disability Insurance. I have clients in 10 states and I have over 1,700 clients. The majority of my clients are in California and Nevada. I have over 50 years of business experience and I use my education and my business experience to help business owners with their personal and employee insurance needs.

As a young man, I realized that having life and long term care insurance makes a big impact on a business owner and his family’s well-being. At 16 ½ a friend and employer lost his life in a motorcycle accident. Because his father was his life insurance agent, Dan was there when his father delivered the personal and business insurance death benefit checks to his widow. It was an emotional time and he realized from this experience how important life insurance can be to a family. The last time Dan saw his widow she cried and told him how important the insurance and protection my father sold to that business owner was to their family. This widow never had to work again and she raised 4 wonderful children without financial stress. Dan came into this business in his 50s to continue my father’s legacy of caring for families and providing lifetime life insurance protection.

As an adult, my father-in-law did not buy long term care insurance and wanted to stay in home and be cared for. In the San Francisco Bay area. The price for 24/7 care at his home was between $8,000 and $12,000 a month. To provide for him my wife gave up her employment and lived with him and provided his care for approximately 8 years. This was not they way we wanted to spend 8 years but because of his lack of planning we were his long term are solution. I work with adults and their children to help them plan their long term care solutions in the most effective and lowest cost manner.

A good referral for Dan is a business owner that has 2 to 15 employees. He/She has a business partner and is healthy and cares about providing defensive or protection planning for his family and taking care of his employees and their families too. Every business owner should have key man insurance policy(s) and insurance to fund a buy-sell agreement should he/she or his/her key employees die or become disabled unexpectedly. Also, every business owner should help their employees save 25% on the cost of their long term care if they offer it through a payroll deduction.

A good question to ask yourself is if you lost your business partner would it have a significant impact on your business? Would you like to protect his/her value and make it so you wouldn’t have to sell your business or be in business with his/her spouse? If yes, would you be willing to meet with me because I am an expert in providing this type of protection. His initial meeting is free and will last no more than 15 minutes and can be in person, over the phone or via Zoom.

If you die – will your business die with you? If you need long term care do you want you children taking care of you 24/7?

There will be Fernley Ambassadors to personally greet you at the front doors of The Golf Club at Fernley and guide you through the check-in process. The check-in table will feature 4 Fernley Ambassadors to assist you with the check-in process, including 50/50 raffle tickets, Bragging Bucks, etc.

Non-Chamber members are welcome to attend and learn about the many benefits available to you, your business or your organization as a Fernley Chamber of Commerce member.

If your are a business owner/operator, we strongly encourage you to bring a Door Prize for our raffle ticket giveaways at the end of the meeting. It will allow you and your business to maximize your exposure at the event.
