11AM through 3PM November 25th Thanksgiving Day. Doors will close at 4PM

Bring friends and family or come alone, all are welcome regardless of circumstance

Please remember this is a NO CHARGE dinner put together by volunteers whose sole purpose is to help bring our small corner of the world closer together. The idea was years ago from a 10-year-old girl named Sarah Jean Gleason and it has been her opinion and observation that today we need to band together, help each other, and build new relationships to help strengthen our community.

Our belief is no one should be alone on Thanksgiving.

Dear Business owner,

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the fact that we are holding our 10th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Fernley Fire Station. This year’s sponsor is the Rotary Club of Fernley under the Rotary Club of Fernley's 501c3 nonprofit entity, the Service Above Self Foundation and Silverado Casino. Due to Covid-19 we were unable to provide our dinner last year and we are hoping to serve close to three hundred guests together and deliver to more than 50 shut ins.

Once again, we are asking for the help of our community proprietors in helping us make the difference in so many lives this coming holiday season. If it is within your ability to assist with any kind of donation, or if you wish to volunteer, we would be grateful.

Please remember, this is a NO CHARGE dinner put together by volunteers whose purpose is to help bring our small community together. The inspiration for the dinner originated twelve years ago by a 10-year-old girl named Sarah Jean Gleason. It has been her observation that in today’s world it is more important than ever that we band together, help the less fortunate and build new relationships to strengthen our community.

This year’s dinner will be held at the Fernley Fire Station located at 195 E. Main Street., on Thanksgiving Day. Come one and all, bring friends and family or come alone. All are welcome, regardless of circumstance. We will be serving from 11AM through 3PM. Doors will close at 4PM.

This year our host sponsor is The Rotary Club of Fernley. Please make checks payable to The Service above Self of Nevada Foundation (Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Memo line of check).
