Missing in Nevada Service

The Nevada Veterans Coalition [NVC] vowed that not one veteran cremated remains would be left unclaimed on a shelf. The task started in 2009 and consisted of researching funeral homes for the cremains of those who have been unclaimed and, in some cases, for decades. This is conducted under the NVC Missing in Nevada, [MIN], not to be confused with the Missing in America Project [MIAP]. Our unpaid NVC volunteers work with the funeral homes, research the veteran’s status, mail letters, coordinate the service, perform the military style honor ceremony, and escort the veterans to their final resting place. The financial costs are provided by the NVC. To date, NVC has conducted more than 350 interments from 2009-2019 of forgotten cremains of veterans in the state of Nevada. We thought our "mission" was complete, but we have located 19 unclaimed veterans and are inviting you to attend the service on Fri, August 4 @ 10:00 am.
