My name is Joseph Alex Mendoza Jr. Husband to one wife and a Father to one son. Moved from California to our beautiful City of Fernley in 2007. I completed a 3 year Sound and Communication Apprenticeship and a 5 year inside wireman program through the IBEW Local 401. I served the community of Fernley as Volunteer Firefighter for Nine years prior to taking a full time position with the district promoting up to Captain.

In 2018 I founded TechCity Electric and entered into the construction and service industry as an Electrical Contractor. TechCity Electric exists to impact the lives of our employees and the Community that we live and work in.

I currently serve as the Union President for Fernleys finest First Responders North Lyon Firefighters Association Local 4547. I have not only served our community locally in local food pantries and assisting with feeding the homeless, but internationally as well on clean water projects and building homes in the Dominican Republic as well as sponsoring kids and hosting Vacation Bible School for students in Africa through MOHI.

My philosophy is it is better to serve than to be served!
