Please join us for our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors networking breakfast event this Tuesday, January 25th at The Golf Club at Fernley. Doors open at 7:00AM. We encourage everyone to arrive early so you are checked-in and seated by 7:30AM. As always, EVERYONE is welcome to attend our weekly Fernley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors" Networking Breakfast meetings...…even if you are not yet a member.

Colleen Unterbrink serves as the Rural County Liaison for the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT). Prior to her position at NDOT, Colleen served as the Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Fernley for six years. Cumulatively, she has over fifteen years of experience in the public sector and ten years of experience in the private sector. Colleen has been a resident of rural Nevada for sixteen years, and is excited to bring her unique background as both a public servant and a rural resident to provide for a great working relationship with NDOT’s rural partners.

As the Rural County Liaison, Colleen works with the 14 rural county governments throughout Nevada (excluding Clark, Washoe, and Carson City) to address rural priorities and concerns, in addition to working with the regional development authorities. Colleen is a graduate of Michigan State University and resides in Fernley where she also serves on the Board of Directors for the Fernley Community Foundation. Colleen has a love for the outdoors, which means that you can most likely find her outside hiking or running with her dog and capturing pictures as an amateur photographer.

Colleen will be presenting on the following topics:

• NDOT Rural County Workshops – what is the process for sharing concerns/priorities in the community?
• One Nevada Plan
• Future projects in Fernley
• NDOT sources of funding for local improvements – TAP Program, Local Road Safety Program
• Status of Interstate 11

There will be Fernley Ambassadors to personally greet you at the front doors of The Golf Club at Fernley and guide you through the check-in process. The check-in table will feature 4 Fernley Ambassadors to assist you with the check-in process, including 50/50 raffle tickets, Bragging Bucks, etc.

Non-Chamber members are welcome to attend and learn about the many benefits available to you, your business or your organization as a Fernley Chamber of Commerce member.

If your are a business owner/operator, we strongly encourage you to bring a Door Prize for our raffle ticket giveaways at the end of the meeting. It will allow you and your business to maximize your exposure at the event.
